This dark but hilarious farce by Neil Simon is one of the beloved playwright’s most popular shows, and was also TYR’s very first non-musical MainStage Production. In the lead-up to the show, the staff had wondered how our audiences and students would react to some darker and more mature material as we moved our MainStage Format to smaller, more intimate productions, but all worries we’d had about the transition evaporated on opening night. The actors sure didn’t disappoint, and we had audiences that grew every performance, and laughter echoing in the theater. We only wish we could have had more performances!
